Other than the gates, gate lights, and emergency information signs, this crossing remains unchanged since CSX put these signals up in the mid 1980s! Amazing that they've remained with so much of their original equipment since then!

On September 13, 2023, Ethan the Railfanner made a return trip to this crossing to find the lights upgraded to Leotek EV series LEDs and the WCH 1st Gen. Mechanical Bell replaced with an NEG E-Bell. The gatelights on both signals have also been replaced with 4" NEG LEDs.
As a side note, these signals are more likely to be from the late SBD-era than the early CSX-era due to the WCH double bases. |
