In 2017, a new logistics center in Coal City started being built and will be served by this line.  As such, UP is upgrading this dormant track with new ties and other various track improvements, and also they've upgraded all of the crossings between Braceville and the new facility, including this one.  New gateless signals were installed as well as a new bungalow.  The old B&O CPL north of the crossing is now gone.
