This crossing is located on the UP Joliet Sub.
This massive setup replaced a pair of
crossbucks in the early 2000s. Originally, the gates had 4" WCH
incandescents, but were replaced with Aurora LEDs around 2009.

In 2012, the gate holders were replaced, and the crossing was resurfaced when the track was upgraded to 110 mph standards.
By 2013, the southern main signal received both a Harmon Fading LED and
a WCH 2nd Gen LED, replacing the original WCH 1st Gen LEDs in the same
frames.

The southern entrance signal with 3 different types of LEDs!!
By late 2017, the WCH E-Bells on both of the northern signals were
replaced by NEG E-Bells. Also the one Harmon Fading LED and 2nd
Gen WCH LED on the southern main signal were replaced with 1st Gen WCH
LEDs. Not sure why they decided to reuse 1st Gens here, but now
it looks completely uniform once again. Also, the bases were made double sided, but I didn't notice at the time.

By late 2018, that same frame was changed once again to a GE Dotted
LED. That makes 4 different LEDs that that frame has had in the
2010s! I also got updates of the gate lights. In 2015, every
gate light was Alstom Aurora, now 8 of them are NEG Clear LEDs. I also included pictures of the now double sided bases.

In August 2024, we see all of the WCH LEDs were replaced with mostly Electro-Tech's LEDs with some GE Dotted LEDs sprinkled in. The one existing GE LED was left alone. The DOT tags were also turned forward, and all of the gates were restriped. Two more of the Alstom Aurora LEDs were also replaced with NEG Clear LEDs, so now there's only 2 Alstom. The northern exit signal's NEG E-Bell was also changed back to a WCH E-Bell.

The relay bungalow also had its signs replaced and a PTC antenna added.
