This crossing is located on the UP Joliet Sub.

This massive setup replaced a pair of older gated signals in the early 2000s.  They both had mechanical bells.
The gates originally had 4" WCH incandescents, but were replaced with Aurora LEDs around 2009.

In 2012, the crossing was resurfaced during the 110 mph track upgrade and the gate holders were replaced.

In mid 2017, pedestrian gates were added to the crossing.  The main signals have not been changed at all.

Updates to the main gates in December 2019.  In 2014, every gate light was Alstom Aurora.  Now, two of them were replaced by NEG Clear LEDs.

In August 2024, we see all of the WCH LEDs were replaced with Electro-Tech's LED and GE Dotted LEDs. The DOT tags were also turned forward and all of the gates were replaced or restriped. The western entrance signal and eastern exit signal also had its Alstom Aurora LEDs replaced with NEG Clear LEDs.
