Pictures from March
17, 2007. We see a complex setup here. Washington St. has 2
bell-less gated signals and intersects with Aurora St. right in the
crossing. There's also a driveway that intersects in the crossing
and this has a lone gate with no lights, an ASC E Bell, and a Safetran
S-85 gate mechanism. Picture 4 is from Wood St.
Pictures from March
24, 2007. We see closer looks at the gated signals for Washington
and Aurora St. All signals have Electro-Tech's LEDs with the
western signal having 12"x20" WCH frames, the eastern with 12"x20"
Harmon frames, and the Aurora St. signal having 12"x24" Safetran
frames. The WCH frames had WCH Clear LEDs originally, the Harmons
most likely had Harmon Dotted LEDs, and the Safetrans were most likely

We see more action shots, plus a look at the pedestrian gate on the
northeast side of Washington St. This is the only one at this
crossing for some reason, and it has a Safetran S-85 gate
mechanism. We also see that some of the boxes on the relay case
are from Griswold!
September 29, 2007. We see preparation work for upcoming crossing
repairs going on, plus an EJ&E maintainer working on the lights on
Washington St. #2.
Pictures from October 6, 2007. Work has now begun on resurfacing the crossings.
Some more pictures
of the driveway signal with the ASC E Bell from October 7, 2007.
People living here had to drive on the grass to Wood St. while the
crossing was under construction. There has since been another
road paved from Wood St. to this driveway, so this is now mainly a
October 27, 2007. Work was just about finished here with UP and
EJ&E doing some final touches. A UP local with old GP15-1s
came by as well.
October 28, 2007. One last look at the crossing for 12
years, at least for this site. The audio below was taken on
August 2, 2007.
In 2009, the Safetran S-85s on the driveway signal and pedestrian gate
were placed by normal Safetran gate mechanisms. They appear to be
used as they are both 90s style mechanisms.
Between 2012 and 2015, the signal protecting Aurora St. was
replaced. It has a newer WCH gate mechanism, and the lights were
carried over. It was still bell-less at the time. Also
between 2012 and 2015, all of the gates were restriped with the newer
style gate striping. The western signal's gate mechanism was also
Between 2015 and 2018, the lights on the eastern signal were
replaced. They're still Electro-Tech's LEDs but are now in
12"x24" Safetran frames.
In July 2019, major bell changes occured. The ASC E Bell was
removed from the driveway signal, and GS Type 3s were added to the
western signal and the Aurora St. signal. At the same time, this
crossing received a new bungalow, but for some reason, Wood St. did not.

The western signal. This is the only signal to both keep its lights and mast from 2007.
The eastern signal. This is the only signal to keep the same gate mechanism from 2007.
The newer Aurora St.
signal. I'm not sure why a bell was added to this signal and not
the eastern signal for Washington St.
The driveway signal. I wish they would've kept the ASC bell on here. Really no reason to remove it.
The lone pedestrian gate. I'm not sure why UP hasn't added more pedestrian gates to this and Wood St.
The new relay bungalow in the southeast quadrant. The older relay case from Wood St. is still in use.
