This crossing is located on the former IANR Cedar Falls Utilities Spur.

On
August 26, 2022, the last freight train ran on this line. It picked up
some rolling stock that was left in storage at the Cedar Falls
Utilities (which was last placed there in the summer of 2020).
Later on December 12, 2023, marks when the final train used this line.
It was in fact, a rare IANR business train for CN to do an inspection
of the line, due to their recent interest of buying out IANR at the
time.
Unfortunately,
the last and only customer on this line has stopped business with IANR,
and plans were made to rip up the rails in 2023, but the line still
remains as of 2024.
No
progress on ripping up the tracks have been done, and it appears the
line and its crossings will remain for many more years, slowly rotting
away.

| The
wayside signal northwest of the crossing. This was probably installed
when the junction northwest of here was made as an approach signal. All
the electronics have been looted already. |
