This crossing is located on the former IAIS Grimes Branch.
Page created by Hopen111 (using HopenRXRTools 1.3.0).

This crossing was located on the former ROW for the IAIS Grimes Branch. A new junction was created further west of here sometime betwen 2001-2002 which rendered this portion east of the junction useless, since it meant more unnecessary maintainence for just a lesser used branch line. This crossing lasted for as long as it did due to the fact that this line east of this crossing was still used for storage until sometime between 2009-2010, when the last cars in storage were moved out according to satellite images.

To the east on the abandoned ROW is a lot of rail piled up, as they were ripping this portion out at the time.
I didn't go further due to the no trespassing sign.
Going west is much more legal, but trees have grown over the ROW over time, and it's hard to get around them.
Doing this outside of winter is impossible at this point.

An old whistle sign far west of the crossing!

A later return visit by Hopen111 in December 2023 shows the grade was paved over and more work was done on removing the line to the east.

The relay case in the northeast quadrant. Somehow it still survives.
A power line that used to supply the relay case also still stands.
The grade was paved over sometime recently. The track date here says November 1929!
