These odd signals were installed around mid 2006, replacing older
MEC-era gateless signals with one WRRS mini bell. The new signals were installed with a WRRS mechanical bell, which I speculate came from the old signals at Depot St. in Waldoboro. On the northern signal mast, the DOT number doesn't match the actual crossing number, so I looked it up and found that the mast came from the old signals at King St. in Bath.
This crossing has a rare (for Maine) GS Type 3. It replaced the WRRS mechanical bell in 2024 and was installed by MCRI.
