L004's locomotives make a poke over the crossing in order to run around their train. That's the only purpose of this part of the Fitchburg Sub.

This crossing actually lacks any kind of track circuit. Whenever anything needs to occupy this crossing, the conductor has to go over to the relay case and manually activate this crossing.
