This crossing is located on the BNSF Marceline Subdivision with
Amtrak, and NS having trackage rights.

The main reason I came out to this crossing was because I've
noticed that the NS crossing to the south of this one was recently
upgraded to signals from crossbucks, and I suspect that BNSF may
end up upgrading this crossing to signals at some point in the
future to follow suite.

A return visit to the crossing on
November 15, 2025 shows that the crossing is in the process of
being upgraded to signals! At the time of these pics, only the
relay bungalow was installed, and the foundations for the future
signals were laid down next to the crossbucks.

BNSF came out and reinstalled it, and in the process
shortened the post.
