This combination casino/hotel has trains that run
around the building most of the time.
There are five crossings in total, I got four of
them because one of them is a crossbuck-only crossing.
The Resort's phone number is (702) 798-4200.
These pictures were taken May 20, 2004.

Quite a setup here. In picture 1, you can see a
8" signal with a low crossbuck. Picture 2 shows the other signal. |

These two pictures are at the entrance to the resort. These are the only signals with gates in the entire resort. Both bells are Safetrans. |
Gated signal from Scale Products Company. It looked wired, but I don't know if it works. |
Wide view of the crossing shown in pictures 1-4. Note that the crossing only has one bell. |
|
Pictures 9 and 10 are of another crossing. This
crossing has two bells instead of one like the other two crossings showed. |

NOTES
The signals in pictures 1-6, 8 are all connected by one relay case. When the train comes by, all four 8" signals and the two wigwags go off all at once.
The 8" lights aren't too bad, by the lights do need to turn to the front for easy viewing. Add on some lights if there needs to be lights on the sides. The exception is pictures 4 and 5 where the lights are already in front.
All 4 crossings have lights only in front. I don't like signals like that. That is one of my biggest pet peeves with crossing signals. They absolutely need lights in back, especially in picture 11.
The trains only run Saturday through Wednesday from 10 AM to 5 PM, and on the quarter hour (15 minutes). I didn' t know this at the time, and I went on a Thursday, where there were no trains scheduled. I requested to have the signals go off, and I was denied. I was and still am very angry at the casino for not showing me the signals that I drove 200 miles to see.
All five crossings (one crossing not pictured had one single crossbuck) are not on the FRA list, and the control box for the two crossings in pictures 1-6, 8 had nothing written on it. I didn't check the boxes for the other two crossings.
I have two links already about this place on my Links page. The official site is located here, and a Geocities fan site is here.
