This crossing is located on the New England Southern Mainline.

These signals were installed in the early 2000s, coinciding with a
major development project which required the realignment of about a
half mile of track. It is the only crossing on this line with top
lights. Also note the white strobe light atop the western signal, which
flashes when the signals are active.
This section of the former Boston & Maine white mountain branch
still has a pulse of revenue freight, as NEGS operates
sporadic small freights (1-2 cars) through here to the 3M paper plant
in Tilton, as well as occasional freight for transload at their
facility in Canterbury.
