Pictures 1-26 were taken on February 15, 2024, by Highball Artist.
This crossing is located on the New England Southern Railroad's
mainline.

This is an early 2000s Safetran install, replacing a Boston & Maine
era GRS setup, like many other crossings on this line had. This
crossing and track themselves were installed circa the early 60s, when
the tracks were relocated to accomodate the construction of the
interstate 93 exit. Note the original NHDOT tag in picture 17 and the
white strobe light in picture 18, which flashes when the signals are
active.
This section of the former Boston & Maine white mountain branch
still has a pulse of revenue freight, as NEGS operates
sporadic small freights (1-2 cars) through here to the 3M paper plant
in Tilton, as well as occasional freight for transload at their
facility in Canterbury.
