This crossing is located on the Plymouth & Lincoln Railroad
Winnipesaukee Subdivision.

These signals were installed in the spring of 2003 when the nearby
intersection was rebuilt. Prior to that, the crossing was protected by
an older Safetran setup also with two cantilevers, installed by the
short lived Goodwin Railroad in 1979. This crossing retains all its
fading LEDs, while a few others have been replaced over the years. The
small yellow box in pictures 25 and 26 is a manual
activation point, so the signals can be reactivated if a train stops
before the crossing, causing the signals to shut off. Note the white
strobe light atop the cantilever, which flashes while the signals are
active.
This crossing is operated by the P&L (DBA Granite State Scenic
Railway, formerly Hobo & Winnipesaukee
Scenic Railroads), but It should be noted excursions from Meredith only
operate into downtown Laconia on Sundays in the summer months, and for
other special occasions and equipment moves.
