This crossing is located on the Plymouth & Lincoln Railroad
Winnipesaukee Subdivision.

These signals were installed in 2000, replacing a 1953 B&M GRS
install. With the exceptions of one Dialight ball LED insert and a
Progress Rail base that replaced the original equipment after a vehicle
strike, this crossing is entirely Safetran. The
northern and southern signals include extension mounts for the back
lights to accommodate the pre-existing telephone poles that would
otherwise block visibility of the lights. Note the
white strobe light atop the eastern mast, which flashes when the
signals are
active.
This crossing is operated by the P&L (DBA Granite State Scenic
Railway, formerly Hobo & Winnipesaukee
Scenic Railroads), but It should be noted excursions from Meredith only
operate into downtown Laconia on Sundays in the summer months, and for
other special occasions and equipment moves.
