This crossing is located on the Former NHVT (MEC) Mountain Division.

These signals were installed by Maine Central circa 1982, not long
before they spun off the Mountain Division. The bell may have been
added later, according to FRA reports. Unfortunately, the
signals have started to fall apart, particularly the lights.
This crossing has been out of service since September 1999, with the
now-defunct New Hampshire & Vermont railroad serving as the final
operator. Vermont Rail System has announced plans to re-activate the
line from Whitefield to St. Johnsbury in the future, so stay tuned as
time goes on.
