I have something interesting to say about this crossing, but I'll put it at the end of the page.

The western signal. I don't want to ask about why the base for this signal has a WCH and Safetran combo.

There is an additional crossing a few feet from the main crossing that is protected by a crossbuck. This seems to be on the original alignment of the NYC Cleveland to Indianapolis route, but has now seen better days.

Now here's something to take note on. Here we see these PUCO photos from the late 90s that shows two older gated mast signals from the NYC era with 8"x20" incandescents, WRRS gate mechanisms and no bells.

And those were still there by 2014! With one having a newer crossbuck and one having a Harmon fonted crossbuck. Both signals had also recieved track signs at the time.

For me to rant on this crossing, why on EARTH did CSX chose to not install new signals here? While it would have been nice to keep these old signals around for an even longer time, CSX just ended up replacing the older signals by 2015 with reused signals. I have a feeling that this might have been done to save money instead of spending a whole load to upgrade this crossing, but still.
