This crossing is located on the connection between the IORY DT&I South Subdivision and NS Dayton District.
| PUCO pictures from the late 90s shows two
DT&I-Safetran era cantilever signals with 8"x20" RACO
incandescents, Federal Signal gate mechanisms and no
bells. In 2015, the southern signal's gate mechanism was
replaced, then in 2016, the northern signal was completely
replaced, with its older gate mechanism still intact. This
had nothing to do with the accident report since the last
one was back in 1986, back when the Grand Trunk Western
still operated in Springfield. |
