This crossing is located on the TriMet MAX Blue and Red Lines.

Blue Line: 200 Trains (100 each way) come by on Monday-Thursday, and 204 (102 each way) on Friday.
168 trains (84 each way) come by on Saturday, and 140 (70 each way) come by on Sunday.

Red Line: 142 Trains (71 each way) come by on Monday-Thursday, and 144 (72 each way) on Friday.
130 trains (65 each way) come by on Saturday, and 124 (62 each way) come by on Sunday.

As you can see above, both the Blue and Red lines use this crossing, so yes, this crossing does get up to nearly 350 trains per day!
(Note, the train counts above are from 2009 data, the new train count from the FRA says it's now at 200).

Kind of looks similar to the other MAX crossings with gated signals. Kind of a long mast on this signal for some odd reason. Look how high the bell is! This picture was taken in late October, 2005.

Some new shots of the crossing almost a year later. Nothing much has changed at the crossing since last October.

Picture 5 shows the relay case with no DOT information.

These pictures were taken around 7 PM on September 23, 2006.

Picture 6 faces NorthEast, while picture 7 faces West. Picture 8 shows another activation sequence.

It's quite unusual. Three MAX trains went by in a 5 minute time period! Quite an active line here.

(NOTE: THE BELLS QUIT WHEN THE GATES FULLY LOWER)

On June 25, 2025, Portland Westside Railfan made a return trip to see small changes with a bell and gates.
