An overview of the crossing.
Take a look at the faded backgrounds. Also the
crossbuck is a little rusty too.
The condition of the tracks doesn't look very
good.
June 20, 2006 update: The crossing is NOT
abandoned/out of service. A recent talk with a P&W employee says
this crossing, to serve one customer: Weyerhouser paper, but how many
times trains go by is not known. It has to be very low though.
Pictures 1-3 were taken in 2003.

The Northbound signal.
The Southbound signal.
Facing West.
Those boxcars in picture 6 were just parked there but
look how severely the one on the end tilts to the left. If the P&W
is going to keep using this line, they better fix that ASAP.

It's an address for the Southern Pacific
signal supplier in Salem, Oregon. Apparently this went to the signal
supervisor first before being installed.
Facing NorthEast. Arctic Drive is around the
corner.
On July 22, 2025, Portland Westside Railfan made a return trip to this crossing to see that the signals got replaced since 2023!
