Anybody remember a couple months ago when the maps still showed abandoned railroads? They aren't there anymore which I don't really like since I want to know where old rail lines used to run. Oh well, there is a ton of streetview now and it is more accurate so I shouldn't complain.

Unfortunately, the last train left my town about 70 years ago. I've seen some pictures of the interurban that used to run here and there were some wigwags but they were torn up and abandoned in 1939. No railroad crosses nearby here. :(

My thoughts:
With the gate striping, I'm sure that this will reduce the amount of up-side down gates. However, I see no mention if the current standard of slanted stripes will still be allowed; It would be an unnecessary waste of many to have to replace every gate simply to change the striping ...
