Looks like a temporary downgrade while the crossing gets upgraded, or at least has the one signal moved closer to the tracks.Nascar Fan007 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 11:22 pmCan someone explain what exactly is going on right here? Crossing abandonment? Upgrade? Downgrade? Or what?

Certainly looks as though they're removing the remnants of the double tracking on that side. Also appears they're doing some work on the spur track as well. Perhaps they might re-locate the signal on the opposite approach to encompass the spur and have it protected too.freebrickproductions wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 2:41 amLooks like a temporary downgrade while the crossing gets upgraded, or at least has the one signal moved closer to the tracks.Nascar Fan007 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 11:22 pmCan someone explain what exactly is going on right here? Active crossing in Memphis, TN:
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.1242922 ... 384!8i8192
Seen from the other side:
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.1248946 ... 384!8i8192
Used to have some nice old BN equipment as well, so it's a shame to see that's all gone. At least the classic (Frisco-era?) cantilever remains, I supposed.

Found this... interesting crossing under I-70 in Denver!

It's sadly gone now, due to the construction for a smart highway(?).

Proud owner of too many things.
GE B40-8W's are the best. Well, uh, maybe with some exceptions...?

Woah...
Pretty much the last place I'd think to find this!
https://www.google.com/maps/@8.2359544, ... 312!8i6656
Though, by the sound of this video it's either out of service, or been replaced by a Danish E-Bell. Those have been the standard in Sri Lanka for a while now, though I think that's changing for Chinese-made signals. But to find a Hybrid here?! Thats a shocker.

Neat to see a Westinghouse Hybrid bell outside of Australia! And yea, it does sadly sound like it was replaced.

Some older masts at this NJ crossing... also just behind the trees is a small older looking house, I wonder if it had anything to do with the railroad?

Classic Erie equipment there, IIRC. They're on the site too:ColeD wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 12:51 pmSome older masts at this NJ crossing... also just behind the trees is a small older looking house, I wonder if it had anything to do with the railroad?
