Strange giant crossbucks in Mexico
I did some street view searches in Mexico and I found these strange giant crossbucks

Re: Strange giant crossbucks in Mexico
Just up the line a couple crossings:
Busy highway crossing? Doesn't matter. We're too lazy to put the signals there in service.
"BARRERA FUERA DE SERVICIO" ---> Barrier out of service

Take a look at this one, it doesn't even have lights!SirKrunch wrote:Just up the line a couple crossings:

Is it possible that this line is abandoned?
EDIT: Followed the line some more. Found where thee was going to be/were signals at a crossing based on the gutted relay case I found at it.
Do they even have regulations (like the FRA here) in Mexico?
EDIT: Found another one just up the tracks:
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=1 ... ,3.71&z=20
This signal need more than just two lights IMO:
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=1 ... -5.56&z=20
Here's a crossing on the remains of an abandoned highway segment:
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=1 ... ,7.87&z=19
EDIT: Found a crossing with the remains of a gate:
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=1 ... -2.75&z=20
They/Them for me, please.

There certainly seems to be action South of there.freebrickproductions wrote: Is it possible that this line is abandoned?
KCS
Yet you go a few crossings further and there's another set of out of service cantilever/gate combos. Doesn't make any sense.

That is very strange, maybe they don't have many laws for their grade crossings in Mexico?SirKrunch wrote:There certainly seems to be action South of there.freebrickproductions wrote: Is it possible that this line is abandoned?

Re: Strange giant crossbucks in Mexico
They just don't give a crap about their crossing signals it appears. Here is proof that the line is still active: http://goo.gl/maps/6d6YiSirKrunch wrote:There certainly seems to be action South of there.freebrickproductions wrote: Is it possible that this line is abandoned?

If you drive move "forward" the train is moving.
