Re: Signals getting damaged/destroyed
Here is one from Norway, look's like the relay case was destroyed, most likely meaning a new crossing will have to be installed.
Here is the crossing on Street View, this crossing was upgraded in 2017.

In this google street view, you can see a knocked down signal that used to have Harmon 12x20" Lights, sadly there will probably never be a new signal because the line is dead.

From 2012 in Plant City, FL.
I don't know where this was in, but it was in Early 2019, looks like bell, lights, and gate were taken so someone can get some cash.

This was in Moore Haven, FL in 2017, the cantilever looks to be new.
The gate mast still mostly stands, but there is no gate or lights.

All three of these posts should've been one. Please do not triple post like this in the future again. Instead, if no-one's responded within 24 hours, just edit your previous post. Thanks.Doge_Illinois wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 10:54 am

Re: Signals getting damaged/destroyed
Not really a signal being destroyed but a gate light instead due to a broken mechanism, at around 6:02 in this video, the gate fast drops, and destroys the light section of the far left gate light.
Additionally, you can see the gate light being dislodged at the start.

Don't know if this counts... but at 1:45, one of the crossing lights opens on it's own from the malfunctioning signal constantly shaking.
Also.... this could potentially damage your gate mechanism.

Re: Signals getting damaged/destroyed
Haven't really been paying much attention to this thread as I've been gone a few months, but here is one from Pendleton, Indiana (and for once it isn't the trailer, but the truck itself)
If you pay close attention to the underside of the locomotive after impact, you can see the fuel ignite.
The train (316 - AC44CW) will most likely need repairs and repaint, since the front of it was scorched, but not destroyed, or CSX can just simply retire it.

It's kind of hard to tell but I don't think that signal was hit. I live not too far from there so I can probably confirm sometime.

Re: Signals getting damaged/destroyed
Towards the end of this video, it looks like one of the gate masts for one of the cantilevers here was destroyed.
