Exempt Crossing... Stop?

Post by SirKrunch » Wed Nov 03, 2021 7:48 pm

As a motorist, how would you approach crossing at these tracks? Perhaps moreso if you are driving something normally required to stop at crossings not marked as exempt - how would this be handled?

This to me is a clear violation of something (FRA or MUTCD?) as the signage is conflicting.

The department in charge of those roads and the state (as it appears they own the line) clearly haven't communicated, lol. Guessing the town (or whomever is in charge of those roads) went through replacing older signage without actually checking to see if the signage was still current.
They/Them for me, please.

Here's a good video at least explaining what's going on with the line. It is being restored. Slowly. VERY slowly. But since there doesn't really appear to be any need for service on that end, they can take their time.
