I really don't like the striping being straight like that... No offense but it looks like some fruity Swiss signal or something.
But I guess, if it prevents striping going in the wrong direction... (not that I believe 90+% of motorists would notice anyway), then whatever. Just so long as it gets grandfathered in. Seems wasteful to go around blowing money to restripe gates when again, the average driver woudn't really give a flying :Censored: ... :2cents:
Well, :Censored:

both signals have their lights sticking out. Has to be for SOME reason. Kinda reminds me of Library Ave in Auburn.

no way. that is way too wide to be a pedestrian crossing.

even though we dont see it, there might be a telephone pole or somthing loke that in front of the signal.

something else would have to block the other side since its light setup is the same thing.

This is the only signal modified to extend past a pole that I've personally ever seen.

I've seen LOTS that needed either the pole moved or the signal changed.

This is just a guess... but those signals look to be quite old. At one time it is quite possible that they had A gates (or wishbone gates). Maybe the lights were mounted that way to accomodate for that?
