this is fake. too small for a pole and way too clean

Has it been proven to be a fake? If it was a prototype, and one that never made it into production at that, it most likely wouldn't've been installed anywhere and thus was likely sitting in a storage shed/closet somewhere for years. My WCH mechanical bell is New Old Stock, and, other than some scuff marks and scratches on the gong, is very, very clean and shiny due to having essentially spent its entire life away from the elements.

Like, as I think I said somewhere on Discord before:
If this is real, it was likely cobbled together out of spare parts some people at the late-GRS had to be shown off as a potential design to management, but the idea was ultimately rejected by them, so this would be the only one to have ever been built.
