Yes, WRRS made side-mounted bells.

Think that may have been something the CNJ liked to do, at least for their Teardrops. Obviously CSX just simply chose to re-use the mount for their NEG e-bell that they replaced the previous one with.

The BNSF harbor sub has a few crossings with side mounted bells

Likely, those signals did not have bells originally. Still, nice finds!
