Bells go "ding". Lights go "flash". And the WCH Gate Mechanism at Kirkwood Road goes "chigRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr".

Interesting. Do you think wch did these differences on purpose? Or just a manufacture error?

IMHO, it's probably a lack of quality control, and, for at least the older ones, aging electronics.

It could also be dust or moisture that gets in there and messes with it a little bit.
