This one has been gone for a while, replaced with a GS Type 3 last year I want to say. Luckily I did get it in the background on a few of my videos.freebrickproductions wrote:Van Allen Road, Escalon, CA:

How many of the mechanical bells and 8 inch lights remain along the line?Caltrain927 wrote:This one has been gone for a while, replaced with a GS Type 3 last year I want to say. Luckily I did get it in the background on a few of my videos.freebrickproductions wrote:Van Allen Road, Escalon, CA:

8" lights are very rare now, only 3 I can think of offhand. Sexton Road near Escalon, Tully Rd & 7th St in Hughson are the only 3 I can think of that haven't been upgraded.freebrickproductions wrote:How many of the mechanical bells and 8 inch lights remain along the line?Caltrain927 wrote:This one has been gone for a while, replaced with a GS Type 3 last year I want to say. A few mechanical bells are still out there but their numbers are dwindling. Yosemite Ave in Escalon still has its WCH, Harrold Ave has a RACO, Claus Ave in Riverbank has a Safetran. Buchanan Hollow Rd near Le Grand is the only crossing on the Stockton Sub that has a pair of mechanicals, WRRS & WCH I think.

Depends if its still there, that street view was taken in October 2015 and for all we know that bell could be long gone. The BC Railfan wrote:1 on Pemberton Portage Road in D'Arcy, BC! https://www.google.com/maps/@50.4721502 ... 312!8i6656
