Got a sunny recording of the crossing today. I'm also going to connect this video with the other videos I'll be posting as they are all of the same train.

Went out railfanning after work today, and only caught this one train: NS A81 with two SD40-2s heading into Scottsboro to work the branch line there. However, I did chase this train up and down the branch line out in Scottsboro, so it wasn't all that bad.

I was also going to record at least some of the unrecorded crossings on the NS Memphis District East End's main line today, but that didn't happen due to how slow the line was today. However, I did get the "regularly" used crossings on the branch line recorded, so there's that.
They/Them for me, please.

*originally recorded on 11-7-21*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.

After catching 264 at Brock/Asa siding, I decided to chase it east. I was intending to shoot it somewhere around Limrock (most likely CR 30), but as he was absolutely flying, I decided to continue on over to this crossing to give myself some more time to get set-up. And I'm certainly glad I did, as not too long after he came flying through here as well, letting me get one more video of it.

As you can see, not too much has changed to this mostly-pure mid to late-90s NS install since I last recorded it. However, as you can see, NS has since replaced both of the diagonally-striped gate arms with newer vertically-striped ones. As a result, it appears that the far signal now has RECO LED gate lights, but I don't believe I'd noticed it while I was there at the time. Other than that though, thankfully no major changes appear to have occurred here and both Safetran mechanical bells still sound rather great and healthy. Hopefully they'll remain around a good while longer.

Got a video on the side with the LED gate lights here on 8-3-22, though no other changes appear to have occurred here between these two videos:
