No major changes to this crossing as of 6-17-23, thankfully.

*originally recorded on 1-1-25*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, RECO gate lights, and an NEG LED gate light.

After catching 288 in Cherokee, I was heading back towards Huntsville when I saw that 288 was gonna be stopping and meeting a westbound at CP Carlin, so I decided to set-up at this crossing and wait on it. After a bit of waiting, I was able to get my seventh, and final, train of the day: NS 285 with the exact same locomotives as 283 earlier in the day, which is an SD70ACe leading an AC44C6M, for power.

I didn't entirely notice it at the time, but the closer signal has had its middle gate light replaced with an NEG LED gate light. Thankfully, nothing else has changed to this mid-90s NS install, and its original Safetran mechanical bell is thankfully still going strong.
