After catching NS 61C in Valley Head, I hopped back onto I-59 and continued chasing it north for one more shot. I was originally gonna go for a crossing in Georgia with all MI 12x24s, but I realized it was probably getting late enough that I could get a decent shot at this crossing, so I went on up to it. Here we see NS 61C for one final time, crossing over into Tennessee from the State of Georgia with it's friendly crew aboard.

This crossing is a very nice one, and is the only remaining gateless crossing on the NS AGS North District. It appears that the signals here were originally installed by NS back in the 1980s, but sometime between 2011 and 2017, the far signal was sadly replaced with the current one. Since then, thankfully, no major changes appear to have occurred here.
What's especially thankful is that NS hasn't really done any major changes to the closer signal here since it was installed, which is rather nice to see. I'm quite glad to see that the original Safetran mechanical bell on this signal is still around and still sound very healthy, so hopefully it'll remain around here for many more years to come. Either way, I'm quite glad I've been able to record this crossing, as now I've recorded all of the surviving mechanical bells on the NS AGS North District!
If you look real closely in the background before the crossing starts, you might also be able to notice the crossing on Steele Road in Wildwood, GA (just on the other side of the GA State Line) activating. That crossing isn't too interesting, as it just features a fairly modern gated install from NS with LED lights. You can also see the bridge on the CSX Chattanooga Subdivision over both the AGS North and US 11 in the background, located just south of the TN/GA State Line.
Also got to meet another (much older) railfan while I was here as well, so that was nice. I was also able to set-up on a small pile of ballast right next to the crossing, which put my camera about level with the lights on the closer signal, providing for what I feel is a rather nice angle.

After catching G438 racing 42Z at Wauhatchie Pike #2, I went down to this crossing for my next train, as I heard that the latter was to meet a 12T at Valley Head. After a while of waiting, I was able to catch my fourth train of the day here: NS 12T with a lone, long-hood forwards AC44C6M for power!

Since I last recorded this crossing, NS replaced the signal on the far side of the crossing, though this time they reused a signal here rather than installing a brand new one. The replacement signal on the far side came from Burn Road in Niota, TN, up on the NS Knoxville West End District, and it appears it was originally installed by NS there in the early to mid-90s. Thankfully, the closer signal here has remained untouched since my last video of this crossing, and very much thankfully still retains its Safetran mechanical bell! It doesn't sound too much worse than my last recording here a couple of years ago, so hopefully it continues to last here for a good while longer.
