*originally recorded on 12-6-23*

Signal on the left: 4 pairs of Federal Signal 8 inch lights and an NEG electronic bell.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Federal Signal 8 inch lights.

After I caught CSX M212 on the eastern edge of Bowling Green, I chased it north to Horse Cave for my tenth crossing of the day. Managed to beat it here with a few minutes to spare, before M212 came flying through once again.

This crossing is another great, classic 1970s L&N install. Like with the previous one I filmed, this one is also mostly original, though sometime between 2008 and 2013, CSX replaced the bell here with the current Safetran Type 2 electronic bell. Since then, however, there have been no major changes to this crossing, and these L&N-era gateless signals still retain all of their classic 8 inch lights. Hopefully these will be around for many more years to come, but, either way, I'm glad I was able to film these when I did.
