*originally recorded on 12-7-23*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Dialight Ball LEDs, a Safetran gate mechanism, RECO LED gate lights, and an NEG LED gate light.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Dialight Ball LEDs, a Safetran Type 3 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, a RECO LED gate light, and NEG LED gate lights.

After catching the first southbound autorack train, I heard a second southbound call the signal at South End Gallatin as well. As such, I raced on over to this crossing, where I was able to catch this second southbound autorack train, which had a CM44AC pulling on the head-end and another CM44AC working as the mid-train DPU.

This crossing is another nice one, featuring an almost-fully original mid-2000s CSX install at it. While this may have been one of the more boring crossings I filmed on this trip, it's definitely nice to see some more Dialight Ball LEDs and another Safetran Type 3 e-bell in service on the CSX, given that both are getting harder to find on CSX's trackage. I always do enjoy seeing these mid-2000s CSX installs, as they honestly look rather nice. Hopefully these continue to remain unchanged for many more years to come.
