Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
After catching A54, I continued on up over to this crossing, as I wanted one I could get onto I-59 from without having to go through too many traffic lights. After a bit of waiting, I was able to get NS 12T once again, and soon continue my chase of it northwards.
This crossing is another decent one, featuring another early-2000s NS install that's still largely original. Like with the last one, the only noticeable change here is that NS restriped both gate arms at some point, with a bit of the older diagonal striping poking out at the ends of the gate arms still. Still, it's another fully incandescent crossing, so I'm glad to have filmed it.
If you notice, as the crossing deactivates, the lights noticeably dim and the gates raise very slowly, almost like the gate mechs are struggling to raise. After the train passed, I called this issue into NS, and the signal maintainer who called me back (as the person I talked to over the phone didn't entirely understand the issue I was calling about), said it was most likely an issue with the one of the batteries or a battery charger in the relay case.
