*originally recorded on 10-6-24*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 1 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 3 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

After EquusStorm and I shot 395 in Eastaboga, we hopped back onto I-20 and chased it back over to this crossing just west of Pell City. Thankfully, we were able to beat it here with a few minutes to spare, and here we see NS 395 once again, with my friend working as the conductor on it.

This crossing is a rather nice one, and I'm glad I was finally able to get it. The signals here were installed by NS back in the late-90s (possibly 2000), and are still mostly original. Sadly, sometime between 2021 and 2023, NS replaced the bell on the closer signal with the current GS Type 3 e-bell. Thankfully though, no other changes appear to have occurred here, and the far signal still retains its original GS Type 1 e-bell, which is nice to see.
Strangely, the crossing glitched a bit when the gates began to descend, which caused the bells to briefly cut-out and the lights to hold on the normally-closed side of the flasher relay for a bit before resuming normal operation. No idea why this happened, TBH.
