*originally recorded on 10-26-24*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, RECO LED gate lights, and an NEG LED gate light.

733 was meeting a 371 to my north, so, after I shot 733 in Waring, I raced right on down to this crossing for 371, only for it to have air-hose troubles keeping it from moving for a bit. 371 was able to get moving again after about half an hour, however, and, a few minutes later, I was able to catch my eighth train of the day: NS 371 with an AC44C6M leading a Dash-9, an SD70ACe, and an SD40-2 on the head-end and another AC44C6M working as the train's DPU.

This crossing is another nice one, featuring what was originally a mid-70s SOU install at it. In the 1980s, NS replaced the far signal entirely (though they did reuse the arm for the side lights), and upgraded the closer signal with Safetran 12x24 inch lights. Then, in the 2000s, it appears the far signal had its gate mech replaced by the current one. After this, sometime between 2007 and 2019, a few more upgrades would occur here. Sometime between 2007 and 2015, I believe, the Safetran mechanical bell here was replaced by the current GS Type 2 e-bell. At about the same time or shortly afterwards, most of the lights here had their 24 inch in backgrounds replaced by the current 20 inch ones, with only the far signal's rear lights retaining their original backgrounds. Thankfully, nothing else too major seems to have changed to this crossing since, and thankfully the old SOU-era signal on the near side of the crossing still remains, even still retaining its original gate mech!
