In recent times, on two occasions, I have discovered a derailed train car just lying around beside the tracks in East Texas.
The first time was about a year ago in Terrell. A hopper was on its side just west of Spur 557. The second time was this week in Marshall. An autorack was on its side under the Bolivar St bridge, near the Historic Depot that is a tourist attraction
