What mechanisms do you like? My favorite by far is the EM. They just look the coolest, that's why I was

off when I saw CP replaced the one in Pewaukee, WI. Here's my list.
1. EM
2. Safetran
3. WRRS/GRS
4. WCH
5. US&S Model 95
6. WABCO
7. Triangle

I like WCH. They preform fast and very smoothly. I have a picture of a crossing in Auburn, IL the mech. in the foreground is a Safetran, the other is a WCH, notice how it is almost all the way down, and the Safetran is about halfway.

WABCO Model 75 all the way. Those are the quietest...smoothest...and most reliable ones out there. Safetran seems quirky...especially with the hold clear assemblies. WCH is pretty noisy...so I really don't care for those either...since they share the same hold clear assembly as the Safetran S-40's.

I like these. They're either WCH or WRRS. Anyone know?
