Birmingham, AL actually has a few 3M beacons in the downtown, both LED. Huntsville, AL also used to have some 3Ms (one set on Whitesburg Drive, one set in Five Points, an apparently some as left turn signals along Governors Drive), but they were all removed years ago due to visibility issues. The mast-arm on Whitesburg Drive is the only remaining piece from the 3Ms that the city had though:

I also believe that this intersection along Governors Drive had 3M left turn signals at it originally:

It was more obvious back when it still had doghouses though, notice how the signals were positioned, especially the doghouses?

And here's the mast-arm at Five Points before it was removed. Notice the similar mounting pieces to the one on Whitesburg Drive?

Interesting, 3M beacons are pretty rare.

Also, not sure why the Mccain Programmable Visibility signal can't be here.
Because Mccain isn't 3M.

So? Because the signal is a programmable visibility signal it can be 3M!
Come on, give McCain some love...
