I visited Ashland today!

Talk about other non-signal stuff here. Make sure to obey the rules though.

I visited Ashland today!

Post by ZachL » Tue May 14, 2019 3:56 pm

If you were watching the Ashland railcam today from 3:00 pm ET through about 3:30 ET or so, you may have seen me on it! :TUP2:

Anyways, I went into Ashland today, and in the span of 30 minutes, I caught two trains headed north: an Amtrak train and a CSX mixed freight train. I got a photo of the Amtrak train, and some other photos you guys might be interested in.

Hello railcam!

Here's a look at the Amtrak train approaching Thompson Street:

And finally, a video of the CSX train! My first time taking a train video! :TUP2: (sorry, it was taken on my phone :Tongue1: )

Enjoy you guys! I plan to be back here in the near future to get some photos of the crossings as well hopefully.

Be prepared to be seeing practically only GEVOs leading, as, IIRC, that CSX line has cab signal requirements. Shame to see that one of the GS Type 1s at Thompson Street is dead while it appears that the other got replaced with an NEG e-bell.

Nice pictures and catches though!
They/Them for me, please.
