Windows 7 has Ended Support
I know that I'm a little late of posting this but on January 14th, 2020, Microsoft ended support for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008, meaning those people still using those operating systems need to upgrade to Windows 10 to continue to get security updates. It is still possible to continue using Windows 7, but you would be more vulnerable to attacks from viruses and hackers.

Re: Windows 7 has Ended Support
Windows 8 has been unsupported since 2016. Windows 8.1's mainstream supported ended in 2018, but its extended support will end on January 10th, 2023. It's recommended that sometime before then, you upgrade to Windows 10.Nascar Fan007 wrote: Fri Jan 24, 2020 1:49 pmDo you know when Microsoft is gonna end support for Windows 8/8.1? Re: Windows 7 has Ended Support
I'll probably upgrade my computer to Windows 10 whenever I get a chance to. I know for a fact that my school upgraded their computers to Windows 10 from Windows 7. But their computers have everything in the settings blocked for some reason.PlyingKibbles89 wrote: Fri Jan 24, 2020 1:52 pmWindows 8 has been unsupported since 2016. Re: Windows 7 has Ended Support
My school likes to block settings on their computers, Chromebooks, and even YouTube. But yeah, upgrading to Windows 10 is probably the best idea.Nascar Fan007 wrote: Fri Jan 24, 2020 1:56 pmI'll probably upgrade my computer to Windows 10 whenever I get a chance to. You might be eligible to upgrade to Windows 10 for free.Nascar Fan007 wrote: Fri Jan 24, 2020 1:49 pmDo you know when Microsoft is gonna end support for Windows 8/8.1? Re: Windows 7 has Ended Support
If you are using Windows 8, then it's unsupported, if you want to still receive updates and support, then you should either upgrade to Windows 8.1 or Windows 10.ZachL wrote: Sun Jan 26, 2020 1:35 pmYou might be eligible to upgrade to Windows 10 for free.Nascar Fan007 wrote: Fri Jan 24, 2020 1:49 pmDo you know when Microsoft is gonna end support for Windows 8/8.1? As for 8.1, mainstream support ended two years ago, but the extended support will be available until 2023.
