Mike's 4-lighted HO scale signals
I thought these wouldn't be possible, but I've finally done it.
So far, as of April 8, 2010, I have made 5 signals that have both front and rear lights that do fully function. I can make a few more of those with what little I have left. I can probably make another 5 more signals during the next few days.
These are just camcorder shots, not with a digital camera, because I don't have one that takes macro zoom. Maybe I can get one someday...
Anyways, here's a page that has a few unsorted pictures of my 5 signals so far that I've made.
http://www.rxrsignals.net/Scale/Smjh1979/Unsorted/
Notes: I don't have the resources right now to do side lights, although future plans do include them, if I can get some smaller wire.
Cantilevers are also planned, but my resources are very limited right now.
Clear LEDs are also planned for the future, but the above statement qualifies here.
I do have a few flasher units, but I've forgotten how to make them work. I'll have to remind myself how to do so over the next coming weeks, and if I can get something to do a small signal setup with 2 signals, I'll try to make a video with the signals, and with a bell audio (I wish now I had bells. These would work great with these models... )
Also, each signal was mounted together with JB Weld. For those of us who take care of things properly, they'll last a long time. For those who are a bit careless, they may have a chance to fall apart.
For more information on JB Weld click the following link, http://jbweld.net/products/index.php
I use both the JB Weld, and JB Kwik for the signals.
The Private Crossing signs on a few pictures are actually used on some California crossings. Those people who are from California will recognize these right off the bat.
I do use the 1 track sign because it looks cool IMO. I left one signal blank, deciding whether or not to use the 1 track sign.
Any other questions, ask away.

Mike,I would love to see the Griswold Crossing Signals with wishbone gate arms in the future mounted on the pedestal like the ones Keevin made from Signalogic, and the ones like NJ International makes.Would like to see working lights on the gate arms if possible.

Those are going to be way out of my league. I don't have any plans on doing any gates or other types of signals.

Four new pictures added (the newest 4 are seen at the bottom of the page).
I added a cats-eye crossbuck to the signal that had no signs.

I have higher quality pictures with the signals lit up that I'll upload soon.
Also in the works coming maybe at the end of the week, will be my first 12"x24" signal.

I've got my first 12"x24" signal done. Those pictures are DSC00312 through DSC00319. I've included pictures of it lit up as well.

Not bad at all Mike. Kind of hard to tell from the pictures the "actual size" of that signal... but I am assuming it is rather small. Not an easy task at all I bet!

Yes, it is small. The height of the signal is 2 1/2" tall.
Here's a link to the picture. I put a 9-volt battery next to it to show how small it is.
