It’s confirmed their bells exist, and that they made some Telegraph and radio equipment, but according to this: http://www.dot.state.mn.us/trafficeng/s ... al2004.pdf on pages 49 and 51, it reveals that L.S. Brach apparently introduced the first flashing light signal (oTo) for RR crossings!
Bells go "ding". Lights go "flash". And the WCH Gate Mechanism at Kirkwood Road goes "chigRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr".
