Weird movie prop....

Post by MD2020 »

Pretty stupid looking wanna-be gated signal setup. Crossbucks mounted wrong, parking lot gate mech, lights mounted wrong, bell facing wrong angle, etc. etc... ...Tracks end before the roadway too...

Just the facts, ma'am.

Pathetic! Why do they waste their time with crap like that?

Never saw that BMW commercial... and I watch quite a bit of TV. Thanks for digging that up! Would have loved to been a spectator when they were shooting that commercial...

The background discs in the BMW commercial pic are different sizes (12"x20" facing the camera, 12"x24" facing away).

...and on the signal to the left there are 8 inch lights on 1 side, 12 inch on the other.

Looks like they just raided a scrap yard and threw stuff together. But that makes sense. With as many "signals" that they used they wouldn't want to use new equipment just for a few days or however long it took to shoot that commercial.

I recall the Dukes of Hazzard having a lot of strange setups akin to this.
A few times they had parking lot mechanisms for gates with wooden 45° crossbucks... and no flashing lights anyplace.
Well, :Censored:
