There is none. What you see is what is there, nothing is hidden. There is no Street View for New Ave so I can't get a google link. They just half assed the installation. I found this the next day, rather interesting especially seeing how they left the old signal just laying at the trackside.

It reads, " CN/GTW RAILROAD

*NOTE* That the sticker was not on this crossing signal. This is Ceeco Road, the sticker was on the Lemont Road crossing which is in downtown Lemont. Ceeco Road is a few miles south west of downtown.

Was the old signal struck and damaged or something? If not, why didn't they just put the new lights, e-bell, etc on the old post?

Seems like a waste if it was in good working order.

From what I could tell the old signal is still in good condition. I think the CN is going to replace all the crossings in town which is why they added those stickers on the signals. It is a huge waste but then again CN management is kind of a huge waste too.

Haha thanks! I don't know how it's worked out so well lately but when ever I go to that line I almost always see freight (actually for a solid 7 months I've always seen freight on that line which is insane, and I bet I just jinxed myself, damn) but I always get the good crew with the CN's Oil Local. There is only one set of people who make a foamer-friendly crew, the others call you in or tell you to get out even if you're just standing at road side.

If you look, it is quite obvious it looks that way because they put the mast on backwards, it should be pulled back up and rotated 180 degrees so the crossarm junction box is to the opposite side of the roadway, then swap the arms around so they are like they are now, and it would then be correct.

The aftermarket "donkey dick" Gate mechanism wire hose wrapped around the mast is a good clue they don't know how to install things correctly..

Obviously another example of over-intillectuals in the Railroad signal business.....
