Surprised they left the lights in tact. Proof that a more "normal" type signal would be better there... to avoid that kind of vandalism.

The whole install is a POS, as are all pedestrian installs I've ever seen.

...But before you go and brand all E-Bells as POS, walk a mile in my shoes. I will only order E-Bells (GS or NEG, or Safetran when smart bell needed) because I have to pull a ladder off my truck and climb my ass up it to the top of a pole to remove a non-working bell, then replace it with a working one. I have no desire to fumble with a heavy ass mechanical bell while up on a ladder, with the bell door open, trying to balance it while getting the wires up and into the bell. A 3 pound E bell is MUCH safer and user friendly for me, and thats just the way it is for me and many other maintainers out there killing themselves with this heavy crap.

It's very nerve-racking, which is why they should all be on the mechs with gates seperated

Only gate mechanism that I would even dare to put my latter on top of would be a GRS Type D.

My issue would be as to how you got up onto the gate mech. I know some of the Safetrans can be found low, but some railroads mount them to where the logo is as high as your face.
