Sorry that there isn't a better picture, I found this completely on accident in a Google search.
The picture is of Mountain Gap Road before the signals got WCH 12x24 lights and a WCH e-bell.
Can someone identify the lights?

I agree. The mast light that is on the left signal (pointing towards the road) appears to be have a round visor like a traffic light would.
The larger round discs that appear to be sidelights on that signal? I believe that is actually a search light signal that is on the other side of the road (behind the signal). It appears to be gone now, but you can see where it most likely was here.

I believe that they are actually side lights, as there is a small road that comes off of Mountain Gap Road. It also appears to be a drain from this angle. The block signals that were used were these:
Although they are not in use anymore as one of them has a broken lens:
Yes.. I agree with you now that I took a second (actually fifth) look at it. Those are the sidelights for that other road... same as they are now on the current signal. My apologies.
So, with that being said, I guess we are back to them being traffic light signal heads with some really large backgrounds. Much larger than what the rest of the lights are it appears.

It's the style that Huntsville likes to use on the traffic lights.
