WRRS Semaphore Gate Mechanism?

Post by McK&H.Aust »

Was filming a pedestrian crossing in Tamworth, Australia recently and discovered that one of the semaphore gate mechs had a WRRS plate on the front of the cover. It looks the same as the GRS mech on the other signal, but with WRRS branding.

I know that WRRS and GRS had some kind of arrangement where they would use each other's products, specially with GRS Type B and Type D gate mechs and WRRS bells. I was wondering if anyone knew of WRRS offering these semaphore gate mechs for sale, or any other known installations that used them?

Here is a link to the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bP2FNQkbhPM&t=181s with the mech being seen at 1:04 and 3:50. The pedestrian crossing was installed in 1997, so these mechs would have been recycled from old semaphore signals or another pedestrian crossing.

WRRS did sell semaphore gate mechs, IIRC, so it could've been possible.
They/Them for me, please.
